Entrepreneurship’s a very hard task, and we are facing challenges every time, every day. In Canada, we don’t have this kind of label. Nobody asked me where I was from. And they just care about what my company can provide to them…Emerson Muramaki, CTO at Neojets
The private jet market is projected to grow to USD 38 billion in 2029. The adoption of private jets in North America (the largest market in the world) is driven by the growing demand for the product in the US and Canada. Emerson and his Brazilian team were aware of these favorable conditions and decided to set up shop in Toronto to run the North American operations of NeoJets.
NeoJets is an end-to-end ecosystem to empower brokers to provide high level luxury travels with no upfront costs for their clients. They help brokers to focus on their most precious asset which is their clients and they handle all the complex and hardworking processes involving a private charter flight booking. Their technology integrates the fragmented industry providers, with high automation in a simple and clear interface.
“The largest private jet market is in the US. As we are Brazilians and we were looking for a better place for our company to present ourselves to North American companies” states Emerson, as he embarked on the Startup Visa Path on 2020 representing NeoJets. For him it was a fortunate random search on the internet.
“Our contact with LatAm Startups was in 2020. I heard about LatAm Startups on the internet and we made our first contact with Miryam and we presented her our business plan, our project. At that time, if you remember, we were at the pandemic, but Miryam accepted our project and we started the program. I can tell you that our experience with LatAm was far beyond just an accelerator.” For Emerson and the team, LatAm Startups has been a great source of networking, market discovery and expert advice.
Most companies enrolled in LatAm programs value all the help they get in terms of the tools to grow the business. What the value even more is the closeness and personalized treatment they get. “…and we are very happy to be part of LatAm, and I would say it’s not an accelerator, it’s a family.”
It is important to state that through the City of Toronto’s support, LatAm Startups has been able to provide programming that assists not only NeoJets, but all of the startups in our portfolio. Learn more about NeoJets
